Deactivating a user immediately revokes their access. Their data (comments, work orders, activity history) is preserved.
- Find the user in the team list
- Click the options menu and select Deactivate
- Confirm the deactivation
Deactivation is immediate. The user will be signed out of all active sessions, including the mobile app.
Asset Types
Asset Types define the schema, hierarchy rules, and metadata for each category of equipment in your fleet. Powoflow ships with a library of platform-provided types, and you can create custom types for your specific operations.
Browse Types
The Asset Types page shows two sections:
- Platform Types — pre-built types maintained by Powoflow (e.g., Pump, Compressor, Vehicle, Vessel, Weather Station)
- Custom Types — types created by your organization
Create a New Asset Type
- Click Create Asset Type
- Enter a name and description
- Configure the type schema using the schema builder
Schema Builder
The schema builder lets you define custom data fields, validation, and hierarchy rules for each asset type.
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Custom Data Fields | Add text, number, date, select, boolean, and multi-select fields |
| Validation Rules | Required fields, min/max values, regex patterns, enumerated values |
| Hierarchy Constraints | Define which parent types this type can be placed under |
| Criticality Levels | Assign criticality ratings (Critical, High, Medium, Low) that affect alarm priority |
Use custom data fields to capture industry-specific metadata — such as API ratings for wellhead equipment, ATEX zones for hazardous area classification, or MRO codes for aviation parts.
Domain Templates
Domain Templates provide industry-specific asset hierarchies, resource types, and configurations that you can apply to bootstrap your organization.
- Navigate to Settings > Domain Templates
- Browse available templates by industry (Oil & Gas, Mining, Maritime, Renewables, etc.)
- Click Preview to see what the template includes
- Click Apply to import the template into your organization
Applying a template adds resource types and hierarchy structures — it does not overwrite existing data. You can apply multiple templates and customize the results. See Getting Started > Templates for details.
Integrations
Connect and manage external systems. See the dedicated Integrations page for full documentation of all 50+ available integrations.
From this settings page you can:
- Browse the vendor catalog and connect new integrations
- Configure connected feeds (thresholds, geographic filters, sync intervals)
- Manage subscriptions for geo-data sources and notification channels
- View sync status and error logs for each connected vendor
- Disconnect vendors you no longer need
Weather
Configure the weather overlay for the Fleet Map.
Setup
- Navigate to Settings > Weather
- Enable the weather overlay toggle
- Draw a bounding box on the interactive map to define your area of interest
- Select the GFS parameters you want to display (up to 14)
- Set the forecast horizon (how many hours ahead to show)
Available GFS Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Temperature (2m) | Surface air temperature |
| Relative Humidity (2m) | Surface relative humidity |
| Wind Speed (10m) | Surface wind speed |
| Wind Direction (10m) | Surface wind direction |
| Wind Gusts | Maximum wind gust speed |
| Precipitation Rate | Rainfall/snowfall intensity |
| Total Precipitation | Accumulated precipitation |
| Cloud Cover | Total cloud coverage percentage |
| Visibility | Horizontal visibility distance |
| Pressure (MSL) | Mean sea level pressure |
| CAPE | Convective Available Potential Energy (storm indicator) |
| Snow Depth | Accumulated snow depth |
| Wave Height | Significant ocean wave height |
| Sea Surface Temperature | Ocean surface temperature |
Drawing a smaller bounding box results in higher-resolution weather data. For offshore operations, include the Wave Height and Sea Surface Temperature parameters.
Data & Storage (Admin)
Manage your organization's data lifecycle. This section is only visible to administrators.
Storage Stats
View current storage usage across all data types:
- Total storage used and available
- Breakdown by category: sensor data, documents, photos, recordings, screenshots
Archive Management
Powoflow automatically archives inactive data based on your retention policy. From this page you can:
- Browse archived items by type and date range
- Restore archived items back to active storage
- Purge archived items permanently
Scheduled Purge Queue
Items queued for permanent deletion are listed here. Purges run on a schedule and can be cancelled before execution.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Item | Resource name and type |
| Archived Date | When the item was archived |
| Scheduled Purge | When permanent deletion will occur |
| Action | Cancel purge (restore) or purge immediately |
Purged data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Review the purge queue regularly to prevent accidental data loss.
Connectivity
The Connectivity settings page links to the device health monitoring dashboard, where you can:
- View the online/offline status of all connected devices (sensors, cameras, edge gateways)
- Check last communication time for each device
- Monitor signal strength and battery levels for wireless devices
- Configure device-level alert thresholds (e.g., alert when a device has not reported in 30 minutes)
Activity Log
A complete audit trail of all user actions in your organization.
Filterable Fields
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Action | Create, Update, Delete |
| Resource Type | Asset, Work Order, Inventory Item, Alarm, User, etc. |
| User | Filter by the user who performed the action |
| Date Range | Filter to a specific time period |
Each log entry records:
- Who — the user who performed the action
- What — the action type and affected resource
- When — exact timestamp
- Details — a summary of what changed (before/after values for updates)
The Activity Log is read-only and tamper-proof. Log entries cannot be edited or deleted by any user, including administrators.
Location Schedule
Configure how frequently Powoflow collects location data from GPS-equipped devices.
GNSS Update Modes
| Mode | Description | Battery Impact |
|---|---|---|
| SMART | Adaptive updates — frequent when moving, infrequent when stationary | Low |
| FULL | Continuous updates at the configured interval regardless of movement | High |
Polling Schedule
For integration devices (e.g., Garmin inReach, third-party trackers), configure how often Powoflow requests a position update.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Update Interval | Time between location requests (e.g., every 5 minutes, every 30 minutes) |
| Active Hours | Only request updates during specified hours (saves battery and data costs) |
| Motion Threshold | Minimum movement (in meters) to trigger a new position report in SMART mode |
Use SMART mode for battery-powered devices in the field. It provides frequent updates during transit and conserves battery during stationary periods.
