Quick Start

Follow these steps to set up your workspace and start managing assets.

Step 1: Apply a Domain Template

Domain templates pre-configure resource types, hierarchy rules, and failure modes for your industry.

  1. Go to Settings → Templates
  2. Browse the available templates:
    • Facilities Management (ISO 19650) — Buildings, floors, rooms, HVAC, electrical
    • Manufacturing & Industrial (ISA-95) — Sites, zones, equipment groups, machines
    • Marine & Fleet (ISO 55000, ISO 14224) — Vessels, compartments, equipment, 30+ sensor types
    • Fleet Management (ISO 55000) — Depots, vehicles, drivers, trailers
    • Offshore Fleet Operations (ISO 14224, DNV GL) — OSVs, offshore equipment
    • Renewable Energy — Solar arrays, wind generators, battery systems
    • Ski Resort Operations — Lifts, trails, snowmaking, grooming
    • Building Maintenance (NFPA 25, ASHRAE) — Comprehensive building systems

  3. Click Apply Template to add the resource types to your organization
  4. Optionally, click Deploy Examples to create sample asset hierarchies

Templates can be combined — for example, apply both "Fleet Management" and "Renewable Energy" if you manage solar-powered vehicles.

Step 2: Create Your First Asset

  1. Navigate to Assets in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Asset (or the + button)
  3. Select a Resource Type from the template types you applied
  4. Enter a Name and optional Description
  5. Choose a Parent to place it in the hierarchy (optional)
  6. Fill in any custom data fields defined by the resource type
  7. Click Save

Your asset now appears in the list, tree, and graph views.

Step 3: Explore the Dashboard

The home dashboard is customizable with drag-and-drop tiles:

  • Activity Feed — Real-time stream of events across your organization
  • Fleet Map — Live map showing device locations
  • Explorer Stats — Single sensor metrics with trend sparklines
  • Charts — Bar and area charts for aggregated data
  • Big Numbers — Key metrics at a glance

Admin users can enter Edit Mode to add, remove, resize, and rearrange tiles. Layout is saved automatically.

Step 4: Invite Your Team

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Click Invite User
  3. Enter their email address and select a role:
    • Admin — Full access including team management, settings, and approvals
    • Viewer — Read-only access to assets, inventory, and work orders
